Greetings, friends!
This past week I managed to share a super cute project, thanks to landing a couple of wooden spoons and a salad claw at the local thrift store…
Build easy cow-themed planter boxes
Cow-themed simple DIY planter box
Isn’t it the cutest?! SO simple and adds a touch of whimsy to the garden rather than just looking at standard plant pots! Come see them both and how I decked them out on my little deck!
I’ve also continued working in the yard, getting my flower beds ready for either amending or adding new soil. I just landed some freebie tomato plants from a generous neighbour, so it’s time to plant them like THIS! Since the garden shed is now finally pressure washed, it’s also time to fill the flower window box and deck it out in some fun new way this summer… and I have a plan that includes a tire! Stay tuned…
Ok, so let’s play! What have you upcycled lately, creative friends? Link it up! To start things off, here’s some fabulous upcycled project features from the last week’s party…

Quick and easy miniature park bench plant accent by A Crafty Mix
When it was mentioned that this adorable fairy park bench was easy to make, that is no lie. Once you know, you know! Note it fits into a tea cup! What an adorable plant accent! If the bench was padded, it could even be a pincushion! How would you use it?

How to refresh an old garden statue by Steph Creates Things
Old garden statues can be found anywhere! But have you ever considered getting one and painting it the way YOU desire? This project will encourage you! What was once faded and peeling is now brand new again making the cutest little happy frog accent ever! Love the pattern on the mushroom, giving this cutie a cottage core vibe!
Iridescent beetle bug specimens
Beetle specimen art on maps by Pillar Box Blue
If you’re a nature-lover, these adorable DIY iridescent beetle specimens are the cutest!! Using a road map image for the backdrop makes them even more unique and quirky! Now I’m also thinking bees, butterflies, ladybugs… what a fun art project that celebrates summer! I’m super inspired since I have this new iridescent paint I’ve yet to try… weeee!
Push-pin travel globe travel indicator
DIY push-pin travel globe by A Pretty Happy Home
Ohhhhkay! I grew up with a nifty black globe, and most recently landed one I made a couple things out of I’ve yet to share. But never in my wildest dreams did I think to use it as a push-pin indicator on where I’ve travelled… so today is the day! It’s a thoughtful addition, while adding more interest to an otherwise plain globe too! DOING THIS.
